Hendrik has competed at the highest level as a professional golfer and has walked the fairways of the world with the best players, from South Africa to Asia, Europe, Canada and the United States, Hendrik literally competed all over the world. Working with people and coaching is Hendrik's passion, and he is now using his vast experience to guide South Africa's next generation of golfing talent. He has also coached some of South Africa's top professionals over the years.

Professional Golf Highlights
Hendrik turned professional in 1985 when he started playing on the Sunshine Tour in South Africa. When the Asian Tour was formed in 1995, he joined and played there until 2012. Hendrik also competed on the Canadian Tour from 1986 -1988, the European Tour in 1996 (after finishing 2nd at the Tour School) and most recently the European Senior Tour from 2013.
Titles
In his time as a professional, Hendrik won 9 titles, with the highlights being beating Ernie Els down the stretch to win the Wild Coast Classic and winning the title at the Aamby Valley Asian Masters in India.
Majors
Hendrik also competed in 3 major championships, the Open Championship in 1992, the Senior Open Championship in 2013 and the Senior US Open Championship in 2014.
Teams
Hendrik represented South Africa in the World Cup in 1995 with partner Retief Goosen and the Southern African team in the Dunhill Challenge (the precursor to the Presidents Cup) in 1995, where he holed the winning putt against a strong Australasian team, comprising of greats like Greg Norman and Vijay Singh.
Leadership
In his time as a professional, Hendrik served on the players committees on the Asian Tour, and helped restructure the Asian Tour as it is today.
Served on the Board of Directors for the Sunshine Tour from 1997, and on the Player Committee.
Golf Coaching
Hendrik is currently coaching a dozen professionals on the Sunshine Tour. It is a passion of his to incorporate the mental side in the technical learning phase of the golf game. Hendrik believes you have to work on all aspects of the game simultaneously (Physical/Technical/Mental) to grow into a potential Major winner.
